Project Overview

ATM provided coastal engineering, planning, and design support for a trip wall for flood hazard reduction at this condominium development. Tasks included site reconnaissance, analysis of survey and coastal engineering data, and development of FEMA wave models (CHAMP/ WHAFIS) to evaluate existing and proposed conditions associated with the trip wall structure. ATM computed hydraulic and hydrodynamic loads for structural design, prepared applicable sections of the Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) request, and provided continued support through project completion and final LOMR approval, resulting in the rezoning from FEMA V zone to lower risk A zone, and substantial savings on yearly flood insurance premiums.
