ATM was retained as a specialist coastal and marine consultant to provide planning, engineering, and environmental approvals support of various phases of Nanny Cay Marina. Our team worked closely with the local lead consultant, ATM’s initial services included coastal engineering planning and design services for the development of a recreational beach that involved beneficial use of dredge spoil and rock T-groins, as well as a water quality evaluation with recommendations for existing marina improvements.
ATM continued to provide support for a resort expansion, which included 220 new wet slips, land reclamation for residences, and expansion of the upland dry storage area. We conducted numerical wave and hydrodynamic modeling to support both project design and the EIA, completed a coastal flood hazard analysis to determine finished floor levels and 100-year flood conditions, erosion and setback assessment, design of rock revetment protection for the land reclamation, and design of flushing culverts and channels to provide adequate circulation in the new basin. Additionally, ATM prepared management documents related to boatyard expansion (including monitoring and mitigation recommendations).
