As part of a multi-disciplinary team, ATM was engaged to provide consulting services related to analyzing and developing water access at Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park. Our effort included the combined analysis of detailed stakeholder consultation and physical investigations. Key tasks included stakeholder meetings and interviews, coastal conditions (wind/wave) analysis, bathymetric surveying, conceptual marine planning, construction cost estimating, grant funding analysis, dive inspections, and grant funding application.
In 2016, the project was awarded a $1.2M federal grant based on an ATM-prepared application. ATM was subsequently commissioned to conduct regulatory permitting, engineering design/specification assistance, bidding services, and construction administration for the development of the proposed marine improvements and water access amenities which include a 310-ft. extension to the existing fishing pier, the development of 570 linear feet of fixed wave screens, and a floating wet slip docking facility.
