ATM supported EDSA in the development of the Blueways Master Plan for the City of Hollywood, which evaluated all City-owned waterfront properties to create additional value. Like many other coastal communities, Miami Beach still has numerous untapped opportunities to enhance public access, restore ecological functions, and offer new platforms for economic growth along their waterfront.
ATM assisted EDSA with boating infrastructure, waterfront engineering, and environmental expertise, which streamlined the feasibility evaluation of potential concepts and helped with the identification of environmental and shoreline protection solutions. The waterfront properties were envisioned as a system of public amenities, with roles driven by site opportunities, community needs, and enhanced connectivity. As part of the consensus-building process, ATM supported EDSA during community outreach meetings in which the public participated actively to shape the plan. The proposed plan included mooring improvements, water taxi docks, day-use docks, and non-motorized access piers, as well as engineered living shoreline solutions.
