ATM completed feasibility studies to assess the potential for redevelopment of the 300-slip Maximo Marina. These studies included a marina market study, redevelopment concept plan, and a ten-year pro forma projection model to assess financial feasibility. Following completion of the feasibility studies, ATM was engaged to advance redevelopment can complete design services. These services included updating the redevelopment concept, completing a utilities infrastructure assessment, design basis, preliminary design, and development of the marina replacement technical package.
ATM also obtained a permit modification from Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Section 10 RHA and Section 404 CWA permits from the US Army Corps of Engineers. Permit services also included sediment testing and evaluation and additional testing to refine the location of a hot spot found in the marina sediments. The design included replacement of the perimeter bulkhead with steel sheet pile, dredging of approximately 10,000 cubic yards of accumulated sediments, covered perimeter fixed pier slips for vessels up to 100 feet, covered boat lift slips for vessels up to 36 feet, and covered floating dock slips for vessels from 36 feet to 70 feet. The facility has state-of-the art utilities and a new floating fuel dock with dual fuel dispensers. Construction on the marina was completed in October 2018.
