Project Overview

Macclenny Fresh Organic Vegetables retained ATM to facilitate the conversion of land from a silvicultural use to an agricultural use consisting of almost 3,000 acres of irrigated area. To support this effort, ATM analyzed site topography, conducted a wetlands survey and determined soil types and conditions. All information obtained was input into a GIS system to for analysis and resulted in the development of an overall irrigation plan, location of ground water wells and crop rotation plan. This information was then utilized as the basis for an application for approval of ground water withdrawals capable of providing seven gpm/acre over the irrigated area to support a variety of row crops.
