ATM performed analyses of storm event, ambient stream, ambient lake, upland soils and in-lake sediment data for Lakes Kinsale, Kilarney, and Kanturk. The goal was to determine what those data demonstrate in terms of lake(s) processes and the potential sources of loads to the system. The specific focus of the analyses was what the data support, or do not support, in terms of the impairment status of the system of lakes and how the lakes should be evaluated moving forward. Additionally, ATM provided assessment of the hydrologic conditions within the Lake Kinsale, Kilarney, and Kanturk system to develop criteria for exclusion of ambient data from the IWR database. ATM worked closely with FDEP’s water quality data assessment group in the development and implementation of these criteria.
