Project Overview

ATM completed a stormwater quality monitoring study for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) of five rural roadway locations in Alachua, Leon, Jackson, Orange, and Seminole Counties. The primary study objective was to determine roadway-specific nutrient and metals event mean concentrations (EMCs) for roadway drainage basins with a low percentage of impervious area and without curb and gutter drainage. These data were used to determine actual pollutant loadings and nutrient runoff allocations for FDOT right-of-ways. ATM worked with FDOT to determine optimum locations for sample collection and designed, installed and serviced the stormwater quality monitoring stations utilized for the data collection effort.
