Project Overview

ATM designed the replacement of approximately 2,900 linear feet of existing watermains in the Abbott Tract of St. Augustine, FL. The project consisted of preparing construction drawings and maintenance of traffic plans, technical specifications, an opinion of probable costs and FDOT permitting for replacing the existing City water piping infrastructure with PVC pipe. As part of the project, an evaluation of feasible construction alternatives was completed including open cut and trenchless methods, due to the established nature of the project area; the narrow right-of-way width; significant number of existing utilities and driveways, trees/tree overhang and power poles; and apparent close proximity of water and sewer utilities.
