ATM has provided statewide comprehensive Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL), Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP), water quality and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) support services to FDOT since 2009.
ATM advocates for FDOT throughout all phases of waterbody impairment listing, TMDL development and BMAP development and implementation. To support FDOT’s MS4 permit program, ATM developed a Statewide Stormwater Management Plan and supported development of an Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination (IDDE) training video to be utilized by FDOT to train staff and contractors. ATM completed a stormwater quality monitoring study of five rural roadway locations in Alachua, Leon, Jackson, Orange and Seminole counties. Study results were utilized to develop regional event mean concentration values for nutrients and metals.
