Please join ATM’s Timothy Mason, PE – Waterfront Engineering Principal and Robert Semmes, MS, Associate Principal/International Waterfront Consultant, as they present Adaptation and Resiliency of Waterfront Structures in Historic Fernandina Beach and St. Augustine, FL” at  the Keeping History Above Water 2019 conference in St. Augustine, FL May 5-8.

The effects of climate change require specific considerations along the waterfront, particularly where a desire for increased public access to the water may not fully align with the demand for improving coastal resiliency.  Mr. Mason and Mr. Semmes will provide a general overview of adaptation methods for waterfront development (focused on coastal engineering and marinas) through case studies on site-specific concerns, opportunities, and solutions within the historic core areas of Fernandina Beach and St. Augustine, Florida. These case studies will focus on impacts and adjustments since Hurricanes Matthew and Irma.
