SURVEYING &
MAPPING |
ATM provides a wide range
of surveying services for marina, port, harbor, environmental, and
offshore geotechnical and geophysical studies. Our surveyors and
engineers have extensive professional surveying experience using
conventional survey equipment as well as sophisticated Global
Positioning System (GPS) instruments. Whether providing land or
hydrographic survey services, ATM's surveying staff customizes each
survey plan to meet the specific needs of our clients.
Our GPS-based survey and mapping capabilities allow for rapid and
flexible topographic surveys at remote locations. ATM's Trimble 4800
Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS, which provides accuracy to 0.2 cm
horizontal and 2.0 cm vertical, is used to establish horizontal and
vertical control networks for the variety of surveys required for
coastal and environmental projects. In addition to the 4800
survey-grade instrument, ATM maintains a Trimble Pro-XR
mapping-grade Differential (D)GPS, as well as conventional survey
equipment, such as differential levels and total stations.
ATM's equipment for hydrographic and bathymetric work includes an
Odom Precision Fathometer and the latest HYPACK MAX software to
provide real-time differentially corrected bathymetric data for
mapping purposes. This equipment can be deployed either on ATM's
25-foot Parker all-weather survey vessel or configured for other
boats as required for remote locations.
