ATM provides comprehensive scientific and engineering support, while simultaneously identifying and then serving our clients that have a need to (1) satisfy regulatory requirements through permitting efforts; (2) solve complex environmental problems through comprehensive and creative studies; (3) manage/create/monitor "environmental-based" sites.

We develop customized comprehensive environmental programs that result in the best solution for both our clients and the environment.

Our environmental consultants provide environmental assessments, environmental impact studies, and biological surveys throughout the U.S., the Caribbean, and the Bahamas.

Since 1984 ATM engineers and scientists have worked with hotel/resort developers and public agencies to complete environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and to solve complex environmental and development issues. We have provided EIA services for clients in the Bahamas (where we are the leading supplier of these services) as well as throughout the United States, Turks & Caicos, Latin America, Mexico, and the Middle East.

The EIA process often requires a developer to offset anticipated environmental impacts through mitigation. Our mitigation plans are designed to provide long-term, ecologically-balanced alternatives to avoid, minimize, and monitor the potential impacts of a proposed development.

From pre-development EIAs to mitigation planning and implementation, ATM provides the regulatory, scientific, and technical strategies needed for the success of sustainable development projects worldwide.

WETLAND SERVICES
As the primary focus of NEPA and Clean Water Act Section 404 permitting, wetlands must be regularly addressed during the project development process. ATM is staffed with a number of wetland experts experienced in addressing all of a project's wetland concerns, from initial delineation and verification to ensuring wetland avoidance, impact minimization, mitigation design, and post-project monitoring. ATM's demonstrated ability to developing solid relationships with stakeholders and resource agencies further contributes to our success with wetland projects, including:

• Delineation and Certification

• Permitting Assistance

• Mitigation Calculations and Design

• Created Wetlands for Wastewater/
  Stormwater Treatment

• Field Oversight and Monitoring

• Mitigation Project Construction & Monitoring

ECOLOGICAL STUDIES
Ecological issues and their associated regulatory challenges affect many public- and private-sector organizations. At ATM, our approach to ecological studies incorporates a comprehensive assessment of our client's immediate project needs relative to their long-term goals. We also routinely coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure studies are designed which address both client and agency requirements. ATM’s comprehensive capabilities in sampling design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation ensure effective studies of all ecosystem types:

• Ecosystem Inventories and Change Studies

• Ecological Modeling

• Regulatory Compliance Monitoring

• Habitat Protection and Management

• Threatened and Endangered Species
  Evaluations

SURVEYING & MAPPING
Precise surveying and mapping is essential in project planning, design, pre- and post-construction analysis, and post-project monitoring. ATM provides the broad range of quality survey and mapping services clients require for projects in all locations, whether terrestrial or underwater:

• Bathymetric and Magnetometer Surveying

• Side-scan Sonar

• Seagrass Mapping

• GIS Database Creation and Analysis

• GPS and Cartography

FIELD DATA COLLECTION
& ANALYSIS
Effective data collection and analysis requires a broad knowledge of diverse environmental systems, clear interpretation of regulatory requirements, and successful collaboration with government agencies. ATM professionals deliver tailored data collection design and implementation services to successfully meet each of these needs by providing:

• Continuous Water Quality Monitoring

• Hydrodynamic Monitoring

• Meteorological Measurement

• Water, Soil, Sediment and Biota Sampling

• Biological Interpretation Services

LAND & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Whether for long-term stewardship or new development activities, ATM has an experienced group of environmental engineers and scientists capable of cost-effectively attaining your land and resource management goals. ATM helps public- and private-sector clients manage their land and resources by providing:

• Conceptual Alternatives & Feasibility Studies
