Nine Dragons Development Company retained ATM to develop a feasibility study for the cruise, ferry and marina components of a maritime-oriented mixed-use resort facility near Shanghai, along the coast of the East China Sea. ATM's feasibility study involves comprehensive market assessments of the various boating segments and potential cruise users, as well as thorough coastal engineering analyses (due to the extreme tidal range at the site) to establish the optimum facilities layout, requirements for structural design, and the feasibility of ship operations. Reminiscent of the world-famous Harbour Town Marina Village at Sea Pines Plantation (Hilton Head Island), when completed, the two new marinas and surrounding resort village of Nine Dragons Resort and Golf Club will provide visitors with an enticing seaside retreat complete with sea breezes, waterfront restaurants, hotels, villas, golfing, and other upscale amenities and amusements. With tour and charter boat facilities, the resort also will cater to families and visitors seeking to incorporate recreational boating into their leisure activities. |
