Project
Summary
ATM assisted EDSA and Landmark Spain with the master planning of the
marina basin and boating infrastructure for Marina de Cope—a
5,000-acre mega project in Murcia, Spain. The EDSA/Landmark Land Co.
Team submitted this master plan to the international design
competition organized by the regional government and was selected
over 20 other competitors.
Marina de Cope is proposed as a destination catering to 20,000 hotel
guests with 9,000 residential units and two mixed-use town centers—a
marina village entertainment district and a cultural civic center.
ATM provided key specialized consulting support to shape the marina
basin and define the strategy for the boating elements of the whole
project. The marina basin was divided by ATM into several sectors
which will each have its own design, style, and functional
characteristics— especially aimed at responding to the expectations
of different segments of the nautical, tourist, and residential
market. Each sector will have advanced infrastructure design
details, targeted to each market segment in order to best serve
visiting vessels, guests, and crew. These sectors include a Marina
Village, an Ultra Luxury Super Yacht Center, a Residential Marina, a
Sailing Club, and a Dry Storage Facility.
