Pete Peterson and Sam Phlegar to Present at IMBC 2012, Feb. 1-3
Two members of ATM's Marina and Waterfront Services team will present seminars at the 2012 International Marina & Boatyard Conference. IMBC is the only conference specifically geared toward marina and boatyard owners, operators, and managers as well as dock masters, harbormasters, boat builders and repairers, and industry consultants. It is where dedicated marine professionals gather to exchange information, talk about the future of the industry, explore new methods and techniques, receive updates on revised standards and established rules, and discover new products. The conference is produced by the Association of Marina Industries (AMI).
Pete Peterson, P.E. is scheduled to speak at 9:45 a.m. Friday, February 3. His seminar, "Mooring Fields--From Concept to Construction" will explore layout considerations, permitting hurdles, and construction details for modern mooring fields. These topics are particularly relevant to conference-goers as more facilities face diminishing waterfront property availability and marina expansion options and turn to mooring fields as affordable, environmentally friendly options for attracting boaters.
ATM President Sam Phlegar, P.E. will also speak on Friday. He will address the current and future impacts of the worldwide economic crisis on the marina industry in his presentation, "Marina Development During and After the Recession."
